Post-Exam Activities
As an attempt to get our Acqua OG together for a time of bonding and catching up, with the main objective of getting to know yung chuan's gf hee hee (juz kidding), dear and I organised a mini steamboat cum hotpot gathering at his place a few days back.
I have to say that the preparation work was really fun. I had the opportunity to explore and develop my cooking skills to a greater level. And it was a great success! The marination was nice and right for the chicken wings and meat balls, and the soup had a sweet pleasant flavour in it. Glad they liked it! Of course, I couldn't have done it without dear...Being a much better chef than i am, he trusted me and gave me leeway to explore my skills despite the risk involved! And I had a lot of advices from him and learnt quite a bit of skills from him. His marination for the chicken breast meat, pork ribs and stingray was really fabulous. They were so mouth-watering. I love it dear. Melts in my mouth!
Anyway, we really prepared a lot a lot a lot of food...the whole dining table was filled...we were so proud of ourselves when we finished all the preparation work. Must give special thanks to my mummy for the Giant vouchers...so this meal is actually free. shiok right. Millions better than marina's $10 steamboat! Hope everyone did enjoy themselves and had a great time eating.
We finally had our dream to go fishing together last saturday. We woke up and was elated when the bright morning sun welcomed us. So, we geared ourselves up, filled our stomachs with Simpang Bedok's famous rotiprata, and off we go to Tanah Merah NSRCC for fishing! It was so fun setting up the rod, using fresh shrimps as our bait...and casting! We didn't manage to catch any fish, unfortunately, cos our techniques for casting weren't exactly correct. Plus it rained 2 hours after we started. So, we quickly headed for shelter...and after much contemplation, we decided to invest in 2 fishing rods for oursevles as our long term hobby. They were reasonably affordable..my rod was less than 20! I should post the picture of our rods soon! :) Can't wait for the weather to get better so we can fish again! Excited :)
Today, dear and i had lunch and dinner with my family at Hong Kong street Restaurant and Lemon Grass Restaurant respectively. We also played intellectual games today, namely Reversi and Scrabble. It was mind-wrenching...dear is a tough opponent! My brain almost burst from playing scrabble. We took hours...hahaha. Even my mommy came and peered at our game for a while...trying to decipher who's at the winning edge. It was a close draw :) Nonetheless, it was a great game. Really.

We also went to tampines to spend dear's BHG voucher. Sweet dear bought me a tube top blouse and a pair of lovely and elegant purple butterfly earrings :) Thank you dear for these...you're always so sweet :) We chanced upon Alvin & The Chipmunks too, and amidst the children, were us sitting and watching the chipmunks singing. I felt a little paiseh hahaha. Okay, i don't know if this is good or bad...but so many people have been saying i look like the Chipmunks. And dear said i behave and sound like one too! bahhhh. Dear, you better be joking yah!!!!
okay, I know they're cute...but, hello, i'm 20! Looking like a chipmunk when i'm 20 just seems terrible!
And i wonder.. when people say i look like a chipmunk, do they mean i resemble more like alvin, theodore or simon?
