the fragility of life
As cliche as it sounds "Life is like a fleeting ship, it comes and go".
With the recent loss of Ms Lo and all the terrorist attacks and protests that are happening in the world, one can't help but think of the fragility of life. Even as age fails, we can't avoid illnesses and health problems like kidney failure, heart by-pass, cancer, stroke, heart attack...and finally, death. Anything can happen, many times without any premonition. The world as it is now seems as though it's breaking down, it's failing and the people are panicking. Of course, those still living in comfort, taking security for granted could be oblivious to all that is happening.
Darkness may cover the earth, but the hope in our Lord endures forever and His light will come shining through if you believe. Life comes and go, but eternity stays forever. Hold on to things that last, and not to temporal earthly pleasures. Don't regret, because there'll never be a second chance to live. Time doesn't wait for you, before you know it, we'll be in our 80's waiting for our time to leave this place. Treasure what you have, be alert and hold fast to Him, never letting Him go...and Heaven awaits us.
To Ms Lo and loved ones: God bless you and may you rest in peace.
