christmas with the low's

Just last saturday (2 days ago), we had a family bbq christmas gathering for the Low family and it was also organised to create the opportunity for my cousins rouvin and raynor to meet their other relatives whom they have not met thus far. Dear was warmly invited too, and we had a splendid time bonding with my family. The bbq was really yummy... in terms of food, it's the 2nd best bbq i've been. The best bbq will obviously be tim's party! haha, the best i've ever tasted...esp the pork ribs *drools*. Anyway, the marination was really nice. We had a nice spread of food ranging from satay, sotong, corn, prawns, chicken wings to the more classy beef steak and sambal stingray.

The bbq was held in Aunty Christina's place...and they had guitar hero. That was really addictive...esp the drums. I wish i have one and dear said it costs almost $1,500. haha! So, there was guitar hero, talking to derek on skype cos he's overseas, ping-pong at the 2nd floor, and we ended off with an awesome time of carolling! The entire Low family (of course a few were absent) were sitted in the living room, and we all sang carols after carols for a solid 2-3 hours, with bryan playing the grand piano. It was soo fun. It's a rare sight to see all my aunties and uncles coming together to sing as a family to our Lord. Even though some of my relatives aren't christians, but truly, i know God was present because it's the loveliest carolling i've ever seen and came across. It felt incredibly warm to see my family, together as 1 body, singing aloud to God. Truly, i believe God has a plan for my family and i can trust Him for my family's salvation.

Even though some of them may not know who this God is, and the meaning of these carols, i'm sure they left the place feeling happy and warm. Nothing beats family. I'm sure dear enjoyed himself too :) The entire family took some photos too, and dear was inside as well...my aunties teased him and said, "Since you're in the family photo now, you're considered family and you cannot back out already". It was hilarious... and i was grinning hahaha.

All in all, i really thank God for my family. I'll continue to pray, in faith, for my mom's and brother's salvation..that one day, they may come to know this wonderful saviour that came down to earth to save us. That amazing grace and love, nothing can ever replace. This christmas, one thing i pray is to commit my entirely family to His hands.

A pity i didn't really take any photo cos my hands were too greasy from the bbq, and i didn't want the caroling to be disturbed by my photo-taking. I'll post some pictures when my cousin rouvin uploads them! :)
