Dedicated specially for Shalom

To our dear shalom,

You're the first puppy we ever had and no doubt, the smartest and cutest. Words can't express how sorry we are to have bought you without realizing how much attention you yearned from us during the day when we both aren't around. Like a child, you suffered from separation anxiety and started biting..sometimes it's play biting, sometimes your bites really hurt. When we started to realise that we are running short of energy and time to train you, we know that we are not going to be good owners. It was absolutely heart breaking and painful when we decided to let you have a new owner, but we both knew that it would be best for you as your new owner can take care of you both day and night and even bring you along when she goes to work. You deserve much more than what we could give. I cried buckets for several nights knowing that I had to part with you. Though I was a lil afraid whenever you get jumpy and start biting, I really love you and I really hate hearing you whimper. We miss you so much, but also glad to know that you are happy in your new home.

Though we only had you for a week, the memories we shared together will stay with us forever. I took many photos and videos of and with you and I look at them from time to time. Shalom, you know you are really such a smart dog. Within a day, you learnt how to jump out of your play pen even though it's quite high! Within one week, you learnt how to sit and come when we ask you to, and even play fetch! You always followed us wherever we go and constantly wait upon our door step throughout the night (many times you could even knocked and scratched our door to get our attention)...so that when we opened our bedroom door, you could immediately run in. You even got a lil used to being alone and stopped whimpering so much as the week passed. You also knew how to sit down by our feet and look at us with your cute angelic face when you know food or a treat is near you. Not to forget, I still remember the first time you pooped, you pooped straight into your litter tray! Litter training was easy for us although there were a couple of times where you didn't pee in your tray and we had to clear up for you. I still remember the first time we bathed you...you were so wet and smelt so fresh after that. Oh, how I love cuddling you and seeing you jump on us.

Dear shalom, though you probably won't remember us, you are always in our hearts. Your name means peace, and we hope you will bring peace to your new family. Be good, grow well and be a joy alright? We hope, one day, we will be able to see you once again. Love you lots.
