we've been so busy!!
Hi all!
The past few weeks were madness. We were so busy we didn't even have enough time to rest and smell the flowers. There was a lot of rushing, lack of sleep, stress, using lots of energy etc etc...
some updates on what we've been doing! =)
Today, dear and i, together with the rest of the mission trippers, had a prayer meeting...it was a small start for me as i tried to lead the team in prayer.. i didn't do much, but it was really heartwarming for the entire team to come together to really pray and depend on God. =) can't wait for our overnight camp this fri! other than that, we went for our last jap for vaccination and then dear & i headed to changi airport to walk walk and eat sakae sushi.
these are some pics dear and i took at changi airport! the orchids are sooo pretty! i love the pics! =)
dear snapped and caught me unprepared! i look so fat in there :( *sulk* haha
this is a really nice pic i took while getting bored at legs and paddles. nice rite!
CSC Camp trial ...
I accompanied dear for his CSC Camp trial @ Sentosa yesterday...and came across this really weird looking plant. it was so disgusting i had to take it. look at it! look at all the funny looking coloured dots! it gives me goose gumps. There are green and brown dots! yucks. i think its pores..but it looks really weird anyways. heh!
and during the trial...there suddenly came some peacocks roaming around palawan beach. haha! so cute!
Legs & Paddles 2007...
Last friday - sunday was probably my most tiring period of my life. The event took place on sunday which was super super super super super super super hot. Not a single drop of rain! dear and i worked on saturday, shifting kayaks the entire morning and early afternoon, and packed goodie bags till almost 12 midnite. And we came at 7am on sunday morning to fullerton, and the event took place the entire day..and had to shift kayaks at transition area all the way till nite. we were so tired and cldn't help out anymore. Too shag. The event didn't turn out that well i guess....sad to say. But we did our best. We had to keep timing througout the entire day for almost 9 hours under the super hot sun...and got ourselves sunburnt. There was hardly any water and we ended up being road marshalls too since there was't anybody to direct the runners to the finishing line. It was just too tiring but i guess, everyone was tired too. oh well. interesting though since i've never been in such big scale event. and both dear and i didn't even take the goodie bag lolx.
i just wanna say a big thank you to dear...for being so patient and so willing to come down to help me out. Thank you darling for sacrificing your sleep, your time, your energy just to be with me and help me with carrying kayaks, timing, etc. without you, i wld have really died. You were of so much help and i really appreciate all that you've done for me. Dear, even though not everyone has made you feel appreciated or some may have taken you for granted, i just wanna say ...thanks for being there for me. truly, nobody wld have ever sacrificed so much just for me...furthermore, you were almost dehydrating and got yourself sunburnt...and you did not once leave me alone and went to the shade. you just stood by me under the sun through it all. thank you darling...thank you for even carrying so many canoes so i dont' have to carry..thank you for using all your energy to do the goodie bags and come up with such efficient system. thank you for it all. if not for you, it wld have been so much more tiring. Thank you dearest for all these sacrifices. i love you! =)
