Good Friday

It was good friday yesterday, but poor darling matthias had to go back to school for 1 hour tutorial followed by 2 hours of lecture at 9am in the morning! can u believe it? It was a public holiday! Well, he told me about it a few days back, but i just chose to believe it, and assumed the lecturer probably made a mistake...so somehow, it'll end up being cancelled. But no! Just the day before Good Friday, dear received an email about the confirmation of the lecture! Needless to say, i was getting kinda annoyed with NUS...i mean isn't singapore schools aren't allowed to carry out lessons on public holidays? grrr.

so anyhow, both of us skipped church on friday (since it's morning service), and i accompanied dear for his lessons. The day before Good Friday, i had a 6 hour project meeting from 4pm till 10pm in NUS, CENTRAL LIBRARY. oh my goodness...it was sooooo long and sooooo tiring, and got dear really upset cos it ended unreasonably late. And i understand why dear's upset though, i mean if it's so hard for me to say no to late meetings, then, when i start working in the future, there might be a tendency for me to work over time just becos there's lots of work to do and my boss demands it so...and therefore, neglect my family for work. I always believe family comes first, and i'll stick to that... thanks baby for that reminder! =)

coming back, both dear and i had a really great time pa-tor-ing yesterday! It's been so long since we stepped into the Singapore Town. We had a great lunch, and had intensive shopping! Cos dear had a lot of Tang's and Taka vouchers, he bought me a dress and a bag (which costs S$160 without discount!)..and we had like 70% discout! can u imagine! really nice fitting dress :) i'm so blessed! And dear got himself a S$70 formal long sleeve shirt. he looks really shuai in it! *beams*After all the shopping, we met Jess at Swensons (the main branch in Orchard) and had a feast! a pity we overlooked the $20 voucher, thinking it cld be used on public hols. So we kinda spent a bomb! sorry jess...u paid extra! next time our treat k! ;) and we had a nice long walk back to dear's car and home sweet home!

Yesterday really felt like holiday...it was really such a good break. If i had studied yesterday, i think i'll just go bonkers anytime soon. Thank God for the break. Really timely :) And thank God for my 10 hour sleep last night. I'm all ready to do work today! Even though we had a great time yesterday, we also remember the significance of Good Friday - and we continually give thanks to God, who has sent His son to die on the cross for us. Thank God for that wondrous love for the undeserving us, sinners.
