Carnivores in Action
We gave thanks to God for guiding and protecting us throughout the entire semester and the exams themselves. Glory be to God.
It was then a battle between the Power Rangers and Iron Man. Well, basically, Iron Man was dear's most-wanted-to-watch movie for the month, while I was initially quite reluctant cos i don't think it's that cool. When i was young, i was a Power Ranger fan and i WAS proud to be one. But after watching Iron Man, i think Power Ranger is thrash now haha. It's so uncool. Iron Man is really cool! Just like transformers! Really, girls, don't be turned off by all these 'guyish' movies, they are REALLY GOOD. I think Iron Man will be the best movie for the month! I really applaud all the effects, suspense, and all..despite the fact that the suspense actually resulted in me squeezing dear half the time and biting his shirt! HAHA. And i actually was 'secretly laughing' at guoliang the day before, cos he told me he wanted an iron man suit for his birthday haha. But, after having watched the show, i want one too!!! It's really so cool! hahaha. those who haven't catch it yet, DO catch it! :) And dear, no more power rangers for me! hahahahha!
We shopped around the entire day, even though i was walking with such great difficult cos i wore heels. It was really painful. Anyway, we followed with my plan since it was my duty to plan our date for that day. Silly me thought that Tanglin Mall = Tanglin Shopping Centre. -_- And dear happily parked his car at Tanglin Mall when the restaurant i planned for us to dine for dinner was at Tanglin Shopping Centre! Not wanting to spoil my plan, we walked all the way down and we did not regret at all.
Here's where we at: Jerry's BBQ & Grill. It was SUPERBLY GOOOD. We ate like we never ate before, and we savoured every bit of flesh. We felt like we were carnivores, and ended up.....BLOATED with a big paunch. But we really did enjoy ourselves. The meal kinda released all the stress we had for the past semester hahaha.
(ohh my goodness. it was so savoury, we couldn't take our hands off it)
The Brutal Aftermath: Pile of Skeleton Bones (this's just 1/2 of it)
To sum up: It was finger lickin' goood!
Venue: Jerry's BBQ & Grill
#01-01. Tanglin Shopping Centre.
Today, we had a farewell lunch for Maria with Crystal. Maria is an exchange student from Iowa State, and both of us got to know her so coincidentally cos she takes both chemical engine and environmental engine modules. We ate at Thai Express, at Paragon, and had a nice time talking and all. Really sad that she's leaving. Time passed so fast! And i felt so bad...cos the semester was so busy, that this's our 1st time meeting up out of campus! sigh :( if time would permit, i would bring her to visit other parts of Singapore! But a pity, she's leaving for her grand tour tmr and i won't get to see her unless God works out smth :) The photos are with crystal though! It was heart breaking to see her leave so sooon. We'll really miss her!
Hence, our plan to have a light lunch today failed! So, we walked a lot today, down the streets of orchard, up and down shopping malls, and spent most of our time at Gramaphone. Bought 2 vcds, one of which was 'Born Into Brothels', and the other was 'Happily Never After'. Born into brothels looked really good, even though it's more like a documentary! We decided to go into vcds/dvds, cos it's really too expensive to go out everyday. We gotta stay home more, have more cookouts, and spend our time watching shows together haha. And proud to say, we resisted all temptations and both ate 3/4 bowl of soup noodles.
And tmr! i'm going for facial with mummy...followed by badminton with dear!
i. really. hope. to. work. off. those. unsightly. tummy. pork. hahaha!
Here's the VCD we bought!
Hope it'ld be really inspiring when we watch it and wld teach us not to take things for granted!
May God grant Maria journey mercy as she leaves for her grand tour.
