Our little excursion to Sungei Buloh & Singapore's Goat Farm!!!!
OVERLOAD OF PICTURES.
Okay, i know i've posted too many pictures but i'm really quite free and the pictures are so nice, i just have to upload them. Anyway, it's our blog..so as long as dear don't object, i've full freedom to blog what i want wahhahah.
In brief (i hope), we went down to sungei buloh last friday. And dear promised a hearty breafast for me. So, i went down to his place..and ta dah! This's the prawn noodle he cooked for me. Sweet boy...he woke up early (spied from his mum hahaha) to cook breakfast and made sandwiches for our lunch. It wasn't too bad...very prawny (i love prawns) but just lacking pork which he couldn't get in time. I think it's a very good attempt considering it's his first time too! Thanks darling for that really warm, lovely meal! Muacks :)
So, off we went after applying layers of sunblock and insect repelent. We were so excited that day hahaha. We were all prepared, and couldn't wait to head for our destination!

4. HUGE monitor lizards (I don't exactly like them cos they looked so scary like crocodiles..but it's nevertheless quite interesting to see them upclose)
See this one...we saw it swimming in the huge pond via a binoculars. I really thought it was a crocodile at first! So disgusting right.
6. Spot the 2 love-chamelions. They were trying to mate. haha.
7. Swarmp...(is that how it's spelt? hhaha) look at the breathing roots...
8. Crabbies (saw lots of them...of all sizes...some even climb trees. gross!)
9. Huge Fern!!
10. Super FAT Mudskipper.
A final pictures of us both! :)
In short, u shld visit sungei buloh if u're a nature lover! Warning though: there's way too many insects (spiders+its webs+flies everywhere) and it's super hot & humid!

The Goats...They all 'meh..mehh...mehhh' at us when we saw them. Think they were really hungry. Unfortunately, we didn't buy any hay to feed them.

Tired & worn out, we decided to head for an early dinner. Dear promised that dinner will be on him...and after much discussion, we decided to head down to katong for dinner!
We went to this place, called 'The Coffee Showcase' and it was a really good deal!
A total of $11 per person for...
1. Handmade soup
2. Main course (Mine was grilled dory fish, and dear's was porkchop)
3. A slice of cake each (which was really really yummy)
4. A huge pot of tea (Mine was rosebud & hibiscus tea, while dear's was camomile tea)
5. Including GST (EXCLUDING service charge!)
Super worth it! It's located near to 328 Katong Laksa Stall.

And a VERY satisfied us!
Thanks for the wonderful day baby! It was thoroughly enjoyable & memorable! :) huggies!

and this's a video, capturing the jumping fishes!
edit: dear just wiki it..and found out they are actually called 'flying fishes' and they fly because they're scared! Cool..i've heard of flying fishes when i was really young (think it was in some childhood tale). Never did realise i would be able to come across it! Wiki said that flying fishes are a rare occurance. Cool eh?!
3. Squirrel (we saw almost 6 of them) sooo cute...
4. HUGE monitor lizards (I don't exactly like them cos they looked so scary like crocodiles..but it's nevertheless quite interesting to see them upclose)

Having finished a satisfied exploration at Sungei Buloh, we were still not done with our day despite feeling sticky and a lil exhausted. we walked alot btw. So anyway, since the farms were all so nearby, we went to visit the Koi Farm (didn't take pictures though)...and then we chanced upon this sign board which says Goat Farm! Knowing me, i was so excited and CANNOT afford to give this a miss! I mean, c'mon, i've never seen goats in singapore! How interesting can that be? hee hee. And dear was so nice, he drove us there within minutes! :) i kinda regretted not buying the goat's milk there though.
The Farm. Lots of Goats. But they all looked super skinny & malnutrioned.
Actually, it's quite sad to see them all locked up like that.
Ohhh...and they really do stink!!!!!!!!!
