i really do miss her.

EMMA LIM
she's my favourite little cousin.

You know, i really do miss those times where all of us (the cousins) get together every saturday,
to play.
All sorts of games...
Teacher acting, ghost chasing, colouring, barbie dolls, making paper boats, fashion show etc etc
We take turns to go to each other's place and each home will be a different game.
It was so much fun...
Until computer games came along, and studies became important.
Soon, grades began to matter. Gone were the carefree days. Gone was our childhood.
Tuitions started to come in.
And slowly, we drifted apart.
Saturdays became stay-home days to do homework.
Saturdays became tuition days.
Family gatherings became a chat point for parents.

Because emma's age gap is quite big compared to all the other cousins,
she didn't get to play as much as us.
And with all the attention on her, some cousins started to tease her...and leave her aside.
But i really doted on her. And i will always welcome her into my arms.

She would run to me when she needs to go to the toilet.
She would run to me when she cries.
She would come and hug me.
She would come to me for piggybacks.
She would come to me and hold my hand as she walks down the stairs.

I really miss those days, where we could be so close as cousins.
But right now, with all the studies...we've drifted apart.
Today, she came to my place cos it's saturday.
I tried to strike a conversation, but somehow...i could only ask things like how's sch, how's her sister polly and so on...
She has matured so much, She has grown so very pretty.
No longer will she hold my hand, No longer will she ask for piggybacks.
Oh, how much i miss her. How much i miss those times.
She has indeed, grown up...but

She'll forever me that little cousin of mine, whom i dote so much.

us, in taiwan.
I remember how she clinged on to me throughout the trip :)
She would always be there, wanting to blow the candles on my cake back then..
Chinese New Year, 2 years back.
pretty little girl now =)
