Building our Nest :)

It's been a long while, isn't it?

We've really had alot going on in our lives, and we've seen how God has marvelously worked and engineered His plans in us even though many times, we take His grace for granted. You know it's so common how when God has finally answered your prayer, you immediatley get on your high and thank God for His provision but soon after, you start to leave Him aside when things get smooth and turn out the way you wanted it to be. Let us remind each other not to fall into that hole, and constantly count and be thankful of your blessings.

Well I really want to thank God all these while - the topsy turvy moments we have had asking God for His purpose for us in this world, the endless things that we need to do for our wedding and also in physically building our nest. Every weekend has been sapped to "do things", so much so, that sometimes we have not paused to reflect and thank God for everything that He has provided. God has really been so good.

From the start of this year, I finally started a prayer journal to list down my prayer items, God's answer to these prayers and the date He answered them. It's really so encouraging to see how God answers each and every of my prayer. I have seen how God answers prayers that I least expect Him to say "yes", how God opens specific doors, and how God knows what's best for us and answers a direct "no". And when He says "no", yes disappointment kicks in and we start to question, but soon after, we're thankful for the closed doors. God is at work, and we cannot deny that.

I hope to really be able to make a difference to God in my life - and I believe it so for my husband-to-be as well. It is definitely going to be a tough road, with much oppositions and persecutions to face, but with God, we know the battle is worth fighting for and the race is worth running for. May God be our sole source of strength and encouragement in this walk.

Anyhow, we're also very excited with building our home. We've just gotten our keys together and renovation will be kicking in really soon - in a few days' time! Pray that this home will be a home where our family will glorify God in love. Wedding planning is still trudging along - kinda pushed back as we've been busy with the house. But we are thankful for the help God has given us along the way. But more importantly, we need to remember that the marriage is more important and that requires the most investment in terms of time, effort and prayer. :)

A year full of changes indeed!
